Shipping policy
Shipping Policy
This is not a typical shipping policy. That's because Jules & Nini is not a typical shipment. There's no brown box. No packing peanuts. No tracking number updating every forty-five minutes. What arrives in your mailbox is a letter — hand-addressed, with a real stamp — because that's what this is.
Nini: I don't understand why everything has to have a tracking number now. It's a letter. It goes in the mailbox. It shows up when it shows up. That's how mail has worked since Benjamin Franklin.
Jules: She's not wrong.
How Your Chapter Gets to You
Each month, we print your chapter, assemble your mailing by hand, address your envelope by hand, affix a real Forever stamp, and drop it in the mail via USPS First Class. It arrives in your mailbox the way a letter from a friend would — tucked between the electric bill and a catalog you didn't ask for.
Nini: Except ours is the one you'll actually be happy to see.
When Chapters Ship
Chapters go out once a month, during the same window each month. We're still dialing in the exact timing, but you can expect your chapter to arrive within the first few weeks of each billing cycle. We'll communicate the shipping schedule to subscribers by email once it's locked in.
This is a monthly mailing, not Amazon Prime. The pace is intentional. The wait is part of the experience.
Nini: Good things are worth waiting for. I've been saying this since Jules was sixteen and wanted a car.
Jules: I got the car when I was twenty-three.
Nini: And you appreciated it!
Jules: …I did, actually.
Tracking
There are no tracking numbers. Your chapter is sent as First Class Mail with a Forever stamp, which means it travels through the postal system the way personal letters do — without a barcode updating every time it changes zip codes.
We realize this might feel unusual in 2026. We think that's exactly the point.
Nini: When I was growing up, you mailed a letter and then you waited. And when it arrived, you were excited. Nobody needed a notification telling them their letter was "out for delivery." You just… checked the mailbox. Like a person.
Jules: I want to argue with her but I genuinely can't.
Where We Ship
We currently ship to addresses within the United States only. Every chapter gets a Forever stamp and goes out via USPS First Class Mail from Cumberland, Maine.
We'd love to ship internationally someday, and we'll announce it when we do. For now, if you have a U.S. mailing address, we can reach you.
Nini: I told Jules we should offer international shipping right away.
Jules: And I explained that international postage is four times the cost and requires customs forms.
Nini: So?
Jules: So we'd lose money on every envelope we sent to Canada.
Nini: It's Canada, Jules. They're very nice. They'd probably send us something back.
Keepsake Products
One-time purchases — like the Keepsake Box, Reading Journal, Correspondence Cards, or Bound Edition — ship separately from your monthly chapter. These are packaged and shipped via USPS, UPS, FedEx, or another major carrier depending on the product and your location, with applicable shipping rates calculated at checkout. Keepsake shipments include tracking information, because they travel differently than a hand-stamped letter.
Damaged or Missing Mail
If your chapter never arrives, or arrives looking like it went through a car wash, let us know at hello@julesandnini.com. We'll send a replacement. No interrogation. No proof required. We trust you, and we want you to have the story in the condition it deserves.
Nini: Jules once mailed me a birthday card that arrived with a tire mark on it. An actual tire mark. We still don't know how.
Jules: The postal system is a miracle and a mystery.
Nini: The card still counted, though. I kept it.
Jules: Of course you did.
Address Changes
Moving? Update your mailing address in your subscriber portal at julesandnini.com before your next chapter ships. If your chapter goes to an old address because it wasn't updated in time, email us and we'll work with you — but we can't guarantee the Post Office will forward it.
Nini: Although I hear the new tenants in your old apartment would probably enjoy it too.
Jules: Mom, we can't count on strangers forwarding our mail.
Nini: You'd be surprised. People are good.
Questions
If you have questions about your shipment, email us at hello@julesandnini.com. Real people. Real answers. Usually within a day.
Nini: Unless it's a weekend, in which case Jules is probably at the farmers market and I'm watching my shows.
Jules: Your "shows" are true crime documentaries, Mom. All of them.
Nini: Research, Jules. It's research. We're writing a detective novel.
